Free templates
A waiver template for each category that leaves with a stranger, written as the twelve clauses a rental agreement has to carry. Print it, fill the brackets, and hand it to your lawyer before anybody signs it.
Every template shares the same skeleton: the parties and the equipment, the risks being accepted, what each participant has to be or have, the rules of use, the area and time limits, condition at both ends, damage and the deposit, weather and cancellation, the release, medical consent, minors, and the signatures.
What differs by category is the part that should. The jet ski template names the sobriety check and the no-wake zones. The boat template names the operator and the headcount against the plate. The equipment template names who may operate the machine and what the meter costs.
A release of liability is a creature of state law. Some states enforce them broadly, some narrowly, some not at all for certain claims, and almost none for gross negligence. A template written for the whole country is a starting point by definition, and the page for each category says what to change.
A waiver also does nothing about the queue. Signed at the counter on a Saturday it is paperwork in front of the first rental of the day. The queue at the counter is paperwork is about moving it in front of the guest's arrival instead.
The waiver goes out with the booking confirmation and is signed online, per person, ahead of arrival. For categories that need it, each listed driver uploads a licence and insurance detail at the same time, and vehicle categories can add a sobriety check with video confirmation before the keys move.
Documents attach to the reservation and to the person, so a returning customer is not asked twice and a group booking cannot collapse into one signature covering six people. Bodhisys collects, stores and attaches the documents; it does not verify a licence against a government database and gives no legal advice.
Bodhisys publishes free waiver templates for jet ski, boat, bike and e-bike, golf cart and LSV, and equipment rental. Each is the same twelve-clause rental agreement with the category-specific clauses filled in: risks, participant requirements, rules of use, area limits and weather. Print the page, replace the bracketed text and have a lawyer licensed in your state review it before use.
On the platform the same waiver is collected online per participant before arrival, with licence upload and a sobriety check where the category needs one. There is no monthly fee. A 4.5% charge is added to each reservation and paid by your customer at checkout.

No. They are a starting point written by a software company. Whether a release of liability holds up, and what it may release, varies by state, and a lawyer licensed where you operate has to review the document before you use it.
Yes. On the platform the waiver goes out with the booking confirmation and is signed per participant on their own phone before arrival, alongside the licence upload and, where the category needs it, a sobriety check. Collected documents attach to the reservation and the person.
